Known mainly for its terminals, Televideo also offered a line of CP/M systems in the early 1980s. The TS 802 was its entry-level model. Televideo built stylish computers. The TS 803 had a sleek keyboard with a wrist rest, and its CPU and storage housing attached to the side of the monitor in a sidecar fashion. Televideo used the same general configuration for its first PC compatible, the TeleColor-XT.

Although nearly identical functionally, the TS 1602G and TS 1603 had markedly different external designs. The former had a low-profile design that integral the CRT with the floppy drives and main circuitry. The TS 1603 also integral those components, but had a larger CRT and mounted the drives vertically in sidecar fashion.

Televideo also sold similarly configured XT versions of the 1605 series–the Tele-XT and TeleColor-XT–with the same value range.
