Olivetti USA (Somerville, N.J.)

Olivetti was a leading European manufacturer of office systems that often preferred to sell computers produced by other vendors under its own name. In particular, Olivetti PCs such as the M 18 series and M19 were produced by Corona and Acorn, respectively. . Kyocera produced the M10, which was the same system as the Tandy Model 100 and the NEC 8201.

Olivetti did design its earlier systems such as the P6060 and M20. The coprocessor model of the latter was called the Olivetti M20 BP, which offered the software suite as standard. PCOS (Professional Computer Operating System) was Olivetti’s own and could run CP/M software through emulation.
