PC’s Limited became Dell Computer Corp. in 1987, and at this writing is the world’s leading seller of PC systems. Michael Dell started the company in 1984 selling PC clones from his dorm room at the University of Texas. The company grew because it offered a solidly built PC compatible at a reasonable price. Nothing fancy–just the basic options that most people would want.
