Royal Business Machines Inc. (Windsor, Conn.)

Royal was a subsidiary of Germany’s Triumph-Adler, which in turn was owned by Volkswagen. Triumph-Adler had the distinction of being the last company to own MITS, which produced the famous Altair 8800.

Parent company Triumph Adler sold the Alphatronic PC in Europe under its own brand.
